Swami Chandrasekaran was born on 8th April 1948. From the tender age of 12 years,Swamiji has been a devotee of Hanuman. Over the years, Swamji has devoted his life wholly to worshipping and conducting poojas to Hanuman.

     Sri Chandrasekaran Swamiji is the founder of the Sri Anjaneyar Temple in Colombo. In 1984, he started the place of worship for Hanuman in Waidya Road and there after in 1989 moved to Allen Avenue. In 1996, Swamji moved to Sri Bodhirukkarama Road, Kalubowila, Dehiwela. At present the new temple is under construction and the much-anticipated pinnacle ceremony Kumbabishakam of "Sri Anjaneyar Temple", will be held on 6th May 2002. Swamiji propounds that only the chanting of the divine name of "Rama" can be a panacea to all sorrow and distresses of mankind. 

He has successfully manifested the power of Sri Anjaneyar in relieving devotees from incurable diseases through his self-tormenting prayers. Swamiji, who has a tender heart of grace and love for devotees, helps all who are in distress and suffering, to overcome all the hardships they face, by his pious prayers and sacrifices to Sri Anjaneyar. Sri Anjaneyar worship has gained tremendous faith and popularity among Hindus living all over the world.
