Sri Anjaneyar Jayanthi Chariot Festival

   In the month of December/January the statue of Sri Jayaveera Hanuman is taken in a procession during the Jayanthi celebrations. It is the first time that a procession taking Sri Jayaveera Hanuman in a chariot has ever taken place in the world.

   This procession starts from Sri Anjaneyar Kovil, situated at 3/11 Sri Bodirukkarama Road, Kalubowila, Dehiwela. Sri Chandrasekaran Swamji conducts the ceremonies. It is a magnificient , colorful sight and devotees participate by joining this procession and all participants are blessed by their presence .
